An exciting opportunity to join one of Mercer’s largest and most rapidly-growing business areas – delegated investment solutions. This senior role within our European Client Team will offer a wide variety of exposure and career opportunities. Mercer is a leading provider of investment consulting and delegated / fiduciary management services. We offer customised advice and support at every stage of the investment decision, risk management and investment monitoring process. In addition to core consulting, Mercer has developed a number of specialist teams thereby ensuring we offer a full range of services to our clients.

The candidate will be in a position to influence and further develop Mercer’s overall service delivery to Delegated Solutions clients right across Europe and Asia over the coming years. As part of the European Client Team, the successful candidate will develop an intricate knowledge of Mercer’s investment research and fund solutions by liaising on an ongoing basis with operational, portfolio management and research teams, and help to filter this expertise across Mercer’s teams of field consultants and clients.

The role will facilitate exciting career opportunities within a dynamic and rapidly growing area of Mercer’s business driven by strong demand across new markets.


  • Support and influence the development of Mercer’s overall client-service delivery across the entire Delegated Investment Solutions client base, ensuring a first-class customer experience in a scalable way.
  • Support, guide and coach overseas Mercer colleagues/consultants on a variety of topics including performance analysis, strategic asset allocation advice, economic commentaries and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Liaising with wider operational, portfolio management and consulting teams across Mercer, including management of a wide range of projects as they arise.
  • Managing a select portfolio of clients on a day to day basis, providing proactive advice and recommendations on a range of complex issues.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Mercer’s delegated fund structures and solutions in order to explain and communicate to colleagues and clients.
  • Meeting clients to review current investment arrangements, discuss market /industry developments and potential changes to consider / implement.
  • Liaising with colleagues across business lines to achieve successful investment outcomes for our clients.
  • Delivery of investment output & documentation within critical timelines
  • Responsible for training and development of junior colleagues.



  • Third level qualification with strong academic track record.
  • Knowledge and experience of investment markets across range of assets:
  • Would suit qualified / near-qualified Actuary or CFA holder


  • Client-facing relationship management / consulting experience.
  • Proven track record developing client relationships.
