POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Training Manager oversees all support functions essential to the sales productivity efforts, including the design, development and implementation of business process and reporting tools to maximize sales results. These duties include; sales training and coaching, book of business analysis, data mining , sales process optimization and support,  database management, Salesforce subject matter expert and administrator and reporting. The Sales Training Manager works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are identified and supported within the sales organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Personal Trainer to Consultants to optimize their sales pipeline! This role will help guide and assist in helping to build personal brands, coaching producers on ways to maximize relationships with their centers of influence and position themselves as SME’s in targeted industry verticals. Assist with Accelerate reinforcement and training for all Consultants. Assist Consultants with sales strategy campaigns and execution for targeted prospects. This may include support of campaign design or other tools necessary to execute on strategy and step-by-step process for delivery. Develops strong peer support and relationships with Consultants and Sales Leaders. Supports the Marketing team process, leveraging Salesforce and plug-in communication tools such as Act-On or Pardot partnering with the Marketing team to help accomplish Marketing goals (newsletter distribution, seminar invitations, and survey participation). Reviews and trains on LinkedIn profiles in order to leverage relationships in sales efforts. Support Brand building efforts of each Consultant through social media strategy development.  Leverage information to enrich marketing & sales database, evaluating/scrubbing new or inactive organizations for inclusion in marketing efforts.  Researches competitor information, opportunities and industry specific targets to maintain a proactive approach to sales. Thinks one step ahead. Develops contests and events to increase sales. This can include coordinating local office participation in Upper Midwest and national MMA initiatives. Acts as the local office Salesforce Administrator, including Salesforce training and support. Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process involvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for involvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Coordinates with local IT leadership, corporate subject matter experts to support sales automation tools/ technologies, including Salesforce, LinkedIn, and other sales tools to increase efficiency. Supports with meeting preparation, agendas, and logistics. Along with other team members, will assist in updating and maintaining Client and Prospect data in marketing & sales database such as contacts, company information, survey participation, and notes. Works with Data & Analytics team on sales reporting and tracking for Consultants and leadership. Supports the push marketing efforts by providing reports and data to help leadership evaluate prospect prioritization. Assist with other projects or assignments as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
  • Four+ years’ experience in a business to business sales organization.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel; Analytical Capabilities
  • Experience with marketing strategies, social media campaigns and design programs preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of database use in marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to use Internet, print publications and other tools for research and informational purposes.
  • Self-starter, with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Big picture thinker,sees the whole value chain of the customer experience
