Role Overview:

Assists Agency in general and Agent(s) in particular with the servicing and marketing of new and renewal accounts of group health and related Group Products.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Works at the direction of the Client Service Executive / Producer.
  • Coordinates with the Account Executive / Producer on Market Strategy.
  • Sends RFP to market including census, benefits and rate data, and claims experience if applicable. Provides first review of RFP responses to ensure requested items were received. Refers to Account Executive for direction on additional information needed. Refers to Account Executive regarding Commission requests on lines of coverage.
  • Initial rate negotiations for renewal and competitive quotes. Organizing responses and presents them to Client Service Specialist / Producer for review.
  • Prepares client spreadsheets/proposal for all lines of coverage: Benefits comparison, Rate comparison, and other sections as needed.
  • Requests and review SPD’s, polices, contracts, agreements, Plan Documents. Works with the carriers to ensure all documents are received and accurate.
  • Prepares and maintains client files.
  • Enters data  into Agency Management System including client info, benefit plan and rate info, activities, and RFP generation.
  • Assists in preparation of client presentations to include developing meeting agendas, copying and binding.
  • Attends client meetings (deliver BRM) when requested by the Account Executive, Producers and/or Management.
  • Day-to-day client service including claim resolution, billing and eligibility issues.

  • Coordinates carrier implementation.

  • Provides clients with annual compliance notices, benefit guides, SPD’s and CMS reporting as needed.

  • Under the direction Technical Analyst assist with the collection of Schedule A’s as needed for the completion of the Form 5500.

  • Maintains knowledge of carrier products and fully insured marketplace.

  • Compliance knowledge

  • Contract analysis/review

  • Support implementation of agency initiatives (i.e., Health Advocate, Mercer Surveys, etc.).

  • Special projects as directed.

  • Typically capable of supporting book of business $500,000 - $750,000.

Role Requirements:

  • 2-15 License
  • 4-8 years of experience working in Health Insurance

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
