Summary

This role overseeing all aspects of financial administration across Distributed Operations. Including management of; budgeting, planning, forecasting & reviewing actuals of the Dist Ops budget, justifying, approval, coordinating and reviewing spend reports which includes headcount, T&E, 3rd party vendors, and PC Spend.

The successful candidate will have worked in a large enterprise organization supporting global teams and worked in partnership with corporate finance teams and utilization of finance toolsets. The candidate will work alongside regional heads of distributed operations and their direct reports, based in multiple countries around the world. The budget is mainly direct spend within a significant number of responsibility centers and supports the function of circa 500 staff supporting a business of 80,000 colleagues.

Experience

  • Strong experience in working for a large multinational
  • Demonstrable communication and people skills, with an ability, capacity and skill to perceive, access and manage the emotions of one's self, others, and groups
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of IT staff as well as other departments on issues of varying complexity; good judgment and flexibility in response
  • Create and maintain financial related documentation, ensuring that accurate information is always available to other colleagues
  • Provide knowledge in financial management, including tracking of spend
  • Provide support to other teams and individuals within the organization on financial matters
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to work unassisted, impeccable time keeping & deliver on time critical activities and be a self-starter

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts oneself in accordance with the Greater Good code of conduct
  • Maintain clear communications with staff and management ensuring that milestone dates are correctly reported and budgets are adhered to
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, department and MGTI best practices
  •  Establish and maintain a clear list of financial priorities and objectives
  •  Assist leadership and management teams with financial matters
  • Maintain transparency in management decisions to upper management as well as subordinates
  • Establish department best practices
  •  Foster a positive team image and manage morale to achieve superior results
  •  Develop & educate staff financial knowledge through internal and external training and mentoring
  • Manage project finances
  • Support of financials relating to projects that are delivered by Dist. Ops and managed by PMO
  • Define scope and establish clear deliverables
  • Negotiate/Collaborate on deliverable duration and delivery dates
  • Assign and prioritize resources effectively based on project value, skill requirements, delivery timelines
  • Follow agreed standards, processes and policies to meet requirements
  • Manage issues to resolution
  •  Establish accurate budgets and keep project spending within projected limit
  • Maintain vendor details ensuring leaders manage vendors appropriately
  • Ensure contracts are negotiate with new or existing vendors
  • Ensure contracts are reviewed within the correct time frames and scope are not increased without appropriate approvals
  • Partner with MGTI peers to deliver on finances for real-estate, mergers & acquisitions or operating company migration to MGTI services
  • Deliver budgets and resource planning for projects run by peers in other departments
  • Define scheduling resource impact and report any concerns
  • Maintain financial support models to ensure the infrastructure and associated services are functioning as designed
  • Global oversight of budgets and expenditure management for all DO cost centers. Participates in the communication of financial results and cost drivers with key stakeholders within MGTI leadership and the business
  • Represents the DO function in program governance meetings, overseeing the consolidated view of project demand for the department globally
  • Oversight of resource planning and usage, acts as global MyTime representative for the DO service tower
  • Assist with BAU and project budgets and reforecast using actual spends.  Procure the appropriate approvals from the Operating Company for annual chargeback’s and capital projects
  • Partner with finance and PMO peers to ensure the appropriate numbers are loaded
