Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) International is currently looking for a Global Head of Marketing and Communications
The Head of Marketing and Communications, MMB International, will develop and coordinate delivery of integrated marketing and communication campaigns and assets to support the strategic imperatives and operating principles of MMB International and to deliver compelling experiences to colleagues and clients in order to drive growth
This leader will work closely with the sales organization to execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive growth and client engagement. They will work with the MMB International leader to develop a compelling internal/external messaging platform and colleague engagement strategy. They will also partner with media relations colleagues to position us as segment leader in the global media.
He / She will be responsible for delivering a cross-OpCo approach to marketing and communications,translating and segmenting the company’sbusinessobjectivesinto authentic,inspiring, integrated andimpactfulengagement with clients and colleagues. Working closely with Mercer and Marsh colleagues across 42 countries, this leader will ensure local relevance and activation in support of market-specific business objectives.
The role will report jointly to the International Heads of Marketing for Mercer and Marsh, with the MMB International Leader as their primary internal customer. The dual report line for the leader is into the Head of Marketing and Communications, Marsh International and CMO, Mercer | International Region
He / she is expected to engage and channel Mercer and Marsh marketing and communications resources to execute their strategies. In addition, they will be given a small number of direct reports to help plan, deliver and track campaign impact and communications programs.
Ultimately the success of the role will be determined by its ability to align and engage colleagues around MMB International’s defined strategic priorities and contribute to delivering on our growth aspirations.
Develop and implement a proactive, integrated, compelling marketing and communications strategy that drives growth for the MMB International.
·Partner with the executive leadership team to understand our key strategies and business plans.
·Provide advice, counsel, and hands-on support to senior executives regarding effective marketing and communications strategies
·Create a customer centric strategy, tracking new business resulting from campaigns,leveraging customer data and analytics
Establish and maintain a sustainable master calendar of marketing activities, ensuring we have an impactful, sustainable flow of marketing activities driving towards results and outcomes that we track and report; manage and report on marketing investments and budget.
Develop and implement powerful, compelling internal communication programmes to drive colleague understanding of key priorities, engagement in key initiatives and positive client-facing behaviours.
Partner with colleagues in marketing and communications to support initiatives to professionalise the global marketing and communications function: teamwork, capabilities, technology, etc.
Ensure quality of our marketing communications are consistent, appropriate while adhering to the broader standards within Marsh and MMC.
·Manage flow of marketing collateral to deliver on-time and at-standard
·Meet all regulatory and compliance standards for notification and tracking
. Manage budget, spend and track ROI to ensure we are effective
·10-15 years of relevant, complex marketing and communications leadership
·Experience working in a large, complex, and matrixed environment, working with a wide variety of stakeholders to develop and execute marcomms strategies, campaigns and tactics.
·Experience working with advertising and creative agencies, media-buying agencies, PR agencies and digital marketing and technology agencies
·Experience of delivering impactful campaigns in rapidly-changing, highly-regulated, technologically dynamic environments
·History of coaching and leading C-suite internal clients to improve the impact and effectiveness of their marketing and communication
Knowledge and skills:
·Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills on both technical and non-technical matters
·Proven ability to serve as a trusted and influential advisor and counselor to C-suite executives, and to cultivate meaningful relationships with senior leaders and individuals of influence.
·Experience generating demand and tracking client revenue through campaigns in support of business growth
·Hands-on experience with marketing and communications technologies, including marketing automation software, social, intranets and content management systems.
·Ability to understand, tailor and communicate complex business, legal and technical issues for various audiences.
