As part of his duties, the Health Associate will be supported by analysts and its role is to supervise, coordinate and review the work of the latter. In addition, the Health Associate will:

  • Respond to client inquiries on its group insurance plans;
  • Participate in the development of strategies and solutions related to the costs and financing of group insurance plans;
  • Validate, establish or negotiate renewal pricing;
  • Manage and participate in the preparation of specifications and analysis of submissions received;
  • Act as an intermediary between clients and insurers;
  • Participate in the actuarial valuation of the obligation and expenses related to post-employment retirement benefits and / or post-employment benefits - using Canadian, U.S. and/or international accounting standards and according to the Mercer standards;
  • Make financial projections for the various benefit programs for active and retired employees.

Qualifications

  • BA degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or the process of obtaining
  • Four to eight years of relevant experience in group insurance including actuarial valuations
  • Ability to work in a team environment where priorities and requirements change quickly
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Leadership
  • Skills in oral and written communication
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, initiative, proactivity and autonomy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual (French/English)
