Senior Financial Analyst - Mercer
Mercer is looking for strong Senior Financial Analyst to support the Finance Director- Global Functions. In this role, you will work closely in the reporting, forecast, analytics and overall GL maintenance of Global Functions. The right person has experience with Oracle/Hyperion Essbase and is an advanced Excel user. You should also possess a good working knowledge of SOX, GAAP and accrual accounting. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will assess the application of financial data and quantitative analyses in order to support sound and defensible recommendations. You will implement financial planning information to support the standardization of processes and outcomes. This position will also conduct complex audit activities and provide direct support on any additional strategic/financial initiatives that are requested of the Financial Planning and Analysis team,
You will be responsible for the month end close so you should be experienced at preparing customized reports, researching complex GL activities and variances to budget and prior year. You will work with MMC’s Controllership function on invoices and expenses and build attribution and allocation models.
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the details of GL reporting for several different functions within the Controllership. You have to be aware of what’s happening in each of the functions and collaborate with the Global Finance Director on monthly presentations to the heads of these areas. These presentations will cover the monthly, annual and year-end projections as well as results. Strong presentation skills are a must.
