Senior Insurance Strategy & Technology Consultant

Job Summary:

The position will work within the GC Genesis group and support delivery of Genesis client service delivery, such as the strategy consulting projects called “Insurtech Fitting” and supporting InsurTech Alliance (ITA) capabilities.  The individual will manage day to day client relationships and attend client meetings to help deliver creative solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Support

  • Manage client relationships and deliver content to clients and prospects
  • Conduct and facilitate working sessions with clients (Discovery Workshops), and identify business requirements in conversations
  • Ultimately responsible for all sales and business development goals
  • Personal participation in key client and prospect meetings
  • Direction setting for go-to-market approach
  • Present findings to a wide range of audience members including C-Suite executives
  • Support cross-functional activity within new entity – with Research, InsurTech Alliance, Investments, etc.
  • Direct contact for all interactions with global GC brokerage team
  • Support new entity formation and supporting contracting and legal as necessary with new entity constituents

Research & Analysis:

  • Research InsurTech trends, startups, and new insurance products to identify both direct to GC benefit capabilities as well as indirect capabilities (i.e., those associated with partner vendors and others who can benefit from our clients)
  • Identifying and consolidating innovative concepts, trends and useful insights for internal and external use
  • Keep clients informed on emerging data, analytics, and technology trends and support client’s growth and profit goals through innovative solutions
  • Ability to support client recommendations with research

Implementation

  • Execute on business strategy by creating reports/analysis
  • Broad understanding of business including strategy and technology transformation
  • Create analysis, reports, decks to meet client needs

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience
  • Substantial insurance industry experience/expertise (Primary insurance carrier) specifically in one or multiple: transformation/systems/technology/data analytics either from within the insurance company or as an embedded consultant
  • Exposure to different insurance business units and strategy
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to develop strong client and Insurtech relationships
  • Comfortable working in interactive teams with brokers, clients, and in the startup-like environment
  • Ability to lead day to day parts of the project and make decisions to keep projects moving forward
  • Strong problem solving skills
