Digital Cybersecurity - Lead Specialist

Location - Phoenix

Reporting to the Global Head of Digital Cybersecurity Initiatives, the successful candidate will be taking ownership for implementing the digital cybersecurity strategy and roadmaps within the lines of business you are working with. You will be embedded as part of digital team in order to support the digital projects and portfolios throughout their secure development lifecycle by establishing appropriate security standards and controls. You will be working on securing emerging technologies in a fast-paced innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Digital Team for the lines of business to guide the secure adoption of digital technologies, to identify internal and external threats and vulnerabilities and to provide risk governance support

  • Partner with various Engineering and Architecture Teams to collaborate on the designs of security controls whilst minimizing frictions with the end users

  • Support the digital transformation strategies and protect the digital assets which MMC is entrusted to
  • Provide cybersecurity leadership in securing emerging technologies, such as Big Data, Internet of Things, Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence, etc.
  • Review internal and external digital projects and applications for risk and adherence to security policies, standards, and industry best practices and make appropriate recommendations
  • Assess applications and the associated data flow for risk to sensitive data, systems, or infrastructure and drive resolutions through cross-team collaborations
  • Identify, quantify and communicate cyber risks across the organization’s data networks, systems, and applications and to provide visibility to key stakeholders
  • Manage proof-of-concepts and integrations of new security toolsets to enhance controls within the secure development lifecycle
  • Work with developers & testers and evangelize/advocate secure coding practices
  • Help the organization build a Shift Left culture for cybersecurity 

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent
  • 10+ years of related experience at an enterprise level
  • 7+ years in a senior information security role
  • Passion for securing emerging technologies combined with the ability to research on risks and impact
  • Subject matter expertise in cloud security, application security, vulnerability management and risk governance
  • Strong technical understanding of security architecture and engineering principles
  • In-depth and hands-on cloud security experiences in one or more of the following: AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Familiar with cyber security & risk frameworks, such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, FAIR
  • Familiar with common Threat Modelling methods, e.g. STRIDE
  • Good understanding of Identity Access Management and Encryption
  • Practical experience in applying controls to meet the requirements of privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA
  • Self-starter, able to work with limited supervision and to collaborate with others in a globally diverse environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills & stakeholder management skills
  • Certification in one or more of the following (CISSP, CISM or CCSP) is a plus
