Risk Analytics Analyst

The Analyst will work within the Marsh Risk Analytics team of Client Advisory Services, reporting to the AVP of the team. He/she will be responsible for delivering client specific analytics solutions in support of risk finance decisions with the goal of positioning Marsh ahead of its competitors in this area.

This role will perform and develop a wide variety of financial and statistical analysis to help Marsh’s clients quantify the

risks they face and make decisions on how best to protect themselves against those risks. It is expected that 10-30% of projects be led/managed by this role.

Responsibilities will include working closely with a variety of consultants in:

  • Leading/managing 10-30% of the client projects of the team
  • Performing quantitative modeling and statistical analysis
  • Understanding product and risk assessment and possible outcomes through simulation and scenario testing
  • Assisting in matching analytical services to client’s financial needs
  • Starting to probe beneath surface issues for concerns or issues that may be unclear to the client
  • Identifying new and existing business opportunities for different business segments
  • Building and designing analytical models as well as incorporating the analytical processes in a varied, collaborative, and innovative work environment

Client-facing responsibilities including the delivery of Analytics-based products and analyses – travelling to Asia countries is expected once every quarter

Successful candidates will be expected to have Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field and 1-3 years of related experience. Passed 1-5 actuarial exams.

In addition you will have;

  • Superior analytical and mathematic skills
  • Strong statistical modeling knowledge
  • Ability to develop strong client oriented solutions
  • Capacity to work in an entrepreneurial manner within a team environment
  • Superior detail orientation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (including Visual Basic) and Access

Knowledge of SAS, R, other program coding a plus but not a requirement
