Role Overview

The Business Insurance Assistant provides support to the Client Account Management team in managing all phases of account management.

Role Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Timely and accurate review and processing of insurance documents such as: cancellations and reinstatements, endorsements, auto ID cards, carrier invoices, policies
  • Order Loss Runs for renewals; Online quoting for new and renewal business
  • Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance including Evidences of Property, which may include but is not limited to, reviewing the insurance sections of contracts for insurance requirements, confirming the requirements fall within the policy, and requesting endorsements when needed; Review and maintain the accuracy of the certificate holder lists to ensure renewal certificates are issued timely and accurately
  • Process client’s requests for changes in coverage, order endorsements from carriers and diary for receipt
  • Maintain accurate, up to date and complete client files via the agency management and document management systems

Role Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in the insurance industry
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
