Senior HR Business Partner

Region Central and South Eastern Europe
(Vienna office, part time)


The HR Business Partner Region CSEE is the strategic partner on all human capital matters to the leadership of Marsh CSEE. The HRBP will partner with the business leaders to help leverage talent to grow the business. This position is responsible to align the activities of the local HR Business partners in the country organizations of Marsh CSEE and reports to the Chief Human Resources officer CSEE.


  • Participates as an active member of the business leadership group delivering advice and consultation on HR topics and provides expertise to manage employee relations issues on all steps of the employee life circle
  • Coordinate, assign, direct and evaluate the work of the HR Business Partners in CSEE
  • Lead and partner on internal HR process improvement and key strategic initiatives projects
  • Creates, implements, and supports competitive attraction/retention strategies for the business
  • Executes special projects as HR Project Manager with overall responsibility for meeting timeline milestones and driving projects to completion
  • Contributes to the talent management strategy by identifying talents (using state of the art selection tools like Insights Discovery and TalentQ), managing the diversity & inclusion strategy, drive the succession planning process and coach managers on how to be more effective developers of people
  • Liaises with the Rewards and HR Systems Center of Expertise to implement performance management processes, salary reviews and year-end processes, advising leadership on how to administer budget according to group guidelines,
  • Facilitates change management processes


  • Five or more years in HR within an international company
  • International HR experience including time as a Business Partner to senior management
  • Intercultural expertise on South Eastern European countries
  • Strong HR consulting and project management skills
  • Expert knowledge on psychometric tools such as TalentQ and Insights Discovery
  • Solid understanding of state of the art Comp&Ben tools
  • Sound experience in steering annual salary and bonus reviews
  • Sound grounding of Austrian labor law

  • Experience in diversity management and steering CSR programs
  • Excellent command of English; second foreign language beneficial
  • German – C1 level


  • A University degree or equivalent. Major in Human Resources and International Business Administration or a relevant field will be a plus
  • Solid understanding and application of Emotional Intelligence
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Intellectually sharp with strong numeric/​analytical skills
