We currently have an opening for a Researcher in our EECI practice located in our Washington, DC office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global firm that uses quantitative methods to develop auction markets for energy, to develop bidding strategies for mobile operators bidding in spectrum auctions, and to conduct analyses that will be used in energy and telecommunications litigation. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics environment/energy sector, or related field. They will also have a strong academic record and exceptional analytical skill, quantitative skill, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses clearly and coherently. Prior experience in the field of energy, telecommunications, or other regulated industries is highly desirable as much of the team’s work focuses on telecommunications services (phone and internet primarily), and they do a mixture of litigation and regulation work.
The qualified candidate will work independently within a team environment on client advisory projects and litigation casework. Areas include designing and conducting energy auctions, providing strategy and valuation, support for empirical analyses to be used in litigations, econometric analysis, and interface with regulatory authorities.
