NERA Recruiting and Human Capital Operations Coordinator

We’re looking for a bright and enthusiastic collegial professional with a passion for “good process” and an ability to coordinate action plans that ensure clear communication and optimized outcomes. The Recruiting and HC Operations teams interact with many colleagues across the firm to provide related best practices guidance and leadership and this is a critical role for NERA.


Recruiting Team Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordination of on-campus and PhD recruiting logistics and related events
  • Assist with coordination of “Super Recruiting Days” including interface with interviewers and candidates
  • Manage scheduling and logistics for senior candidate interviews
  • Compile interview feedback
  • Post and manage job descriptions at schools and on job boards
  • Draft offer letters (templates) and supporting offer documents
  • Track and report on candidates’ status within Workday applicant system
  • Assist with maintaining recruiting analysis and metrics
  • Manage recruiting team email box and related correspondences
  • Process candidate expense reports and department invoices
  • Screen potential candidates, where appropriate
  • Represent NERA at occasional campus events, as needed

HR Operations Team Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employee on/off-boarding processes
  • Maintain I-9 and E-Verify systems and liaise with vendor
  • Coordinate background investigation process and serve as vendor point of contact
  • Respond to benefit and payroll questions from colleagues
  • Input and maintain data in HRIS and time/billing systems; run queries
  • Process weekly overtime and hourly payrolls
  • Respond to employment verification requests
  • Liaise with technology for enabling/disabling colleague accounts and access


  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in business, human resources or other related studies
  • 1-3 years of experience with Recruiting or HC team in a professional services, consulting, or financial services firm
  • Strong writing, organizational and communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and follow through
  • Results oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Consistently meets deadlines
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Workday experience preferred or other ATS, HRIS
  • Willing to travel between NERA’s New York City and White Plains office (Metro North RR)
